Parents
PARENTS
Parent involvement is a vital and integral part to the success of our school. There are many opportunities in which parents can become involved in the school community and play a key role in their child’s spiritual, academic and social development. Parents are encouraged to be on the lookout for volunteer opportunities as they come up. *Notice: All parents are required to take Protecting God’s Children in order to participate in the classroom, drive on field trips, or coach.
Service Hours
Parents are expected to give a minimum of ten (10) hours of service a year assisting with and participating in projects such as the dinners/breakfast, candy sales, September Fest, Raffle, and other services opportunities. Parent service hours will be monitored throughout the year. Those not fulfilling the ten hours of service will be assessed $100 (prorated) at the end of the school year. Parents should contact Mrs. Buckman after completing each service activity so she can record them.
Protecting God’s Children
Protecting God’s Children is a diocesan safety class. In order to participate or help in a classroom, drive on a field trip or coach/supervise an extra curricular activity this one-time course must be taken. Please call the parish office for available dates.
