March 12, 2010

We did a lot of interesting things at school this week.  We wrote letters to the Leprechaun and he wrote us back and visited us several times and left surprises.  We have been writing about what we would do if we caught the Leprechaun.  We made shamrocks for our windows by coloring them on a hot plate and watching the crayon melt.

In Math we are doing simple addition.  We are still reviewing time and money each day.

The Muddy River Opera presentation of “Chanticleer” on Friday was very good.  I think the children enjoyed it.  Maybe they can tell you a little about what they saw.

Wednesday will be Kindergarten Round-up in the afternoon.  The children will have school that day.  Mrs. Moore the Pre-School teacher will take them down to her room for some activities. If you know anyone that will be attending Kindergarten next year please let them know about our Round-up.

The third quarter ended today and I am finishing up the assessments.  They will come home next week. I hope these will give you a better understanding of the progress your child has made. If anyone is interested in meeting with me to discuss your child’s progress I would be happy to meet with you.
